The menu embodies both the comfort of all-American pub fare and the refinement of upscale cuisine. With a focus on high quality ingredients, the kitchen kicks out superbly-prepared and mouth-watering dishes that are impossible to resist. Classic stand-bys include Buffalo chicken wings made with Sam’s Famous hot sauce and award-winning barbeque smoked on premise. The piled-high Venison Chili Nachos were voted one of Time Out New York’s “Best Dishes of 2010.” Be sure to check out the daily specials menu, featuring a selection of uniquely prepared game meats, fresh seafood, hearty pasta, and appetizers fit to satisfy any craving. The dessert list is short and sweet, and always features a decadent house-made bread pudding.
And what would an ale house be without a superb beer list? Each location offers a lively bar scene with a rotating selection of 20draught beers and a spectrum of more than 80 domestic and imported craft bottled beers. Coupled with a full bar stocked with robust wines, vintage whiskies, effervescent gins, and “real” absinthes, the bartender is ready and sure to please.
Owner, founder, and gastronomic mastermind Sam Barbieri was classically trained at the Culinary Institute of America, and has gone on to receive national recognition for his superb barbeque and unique flavor combinations in numerous competitions.
