Opened in 2002, the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is a modern and contemporary art museum with a collection of more than 6,000 works of 20th and 21st century art.
In addition to its eight permanent galleries featuring the work of Abraham Rattner, Allen Leepa and Esther Gentle, LRMA’s Changing Exhibition Galleries feature a full slate of special exhibitions throughout the year.
The Museum's building was designed by the award-winning architect E.C. Hoffman Jr. to resemble the bow of a ship as a post modernist nod towards Tarpon Springs' fishing and sponging communities. It was recently designated as one of the 100 most architecturally significant buildings in the state of Florida by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Florida. The museum is located on the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College.
