Item Description
When Michael Ray’s debut single “Kiss You In The Morning,” reached #1, he became the only new country male artist to have a #1 single in 2015. Ray performed the song on Good Morning America and was featured on ABC’s Nightline, and he took the stage at NBC’s TODAY to perform his most recent and second #1 single, “Think A Little Less.” Both tracks are featured on his self-titled debut album (Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville), which entered the Billboard Country Album Chart in the Top 5. USA Today featured Michael as an “On The Verge” artist and he was included as one of Spotify’s 2015 “Country Artists To Watch.” Rdio also spotlighted him in their new “Nashville Rising” program and Rhapsody named him to their “One’s To Watch” list.
Ray moved to Nashville from Eustis, FL in 2010 where he started playing country music with his grandfather’s band when he was only 9 years old. He has played five consecutive sold-out shows at the House of Blues in Orlando and realized a life-long dream in May 2015 when he was invited to play the Grand Ole Opry. Ray has opened for everyone from Luke Bryan and Jake Owen to ALABAMA and Alan Jackson, and he’s toured with Sam Hunt, he spent the last year on Brantley Gilbert’s The Blackout Tour and with Darius Rucker and Dan + Shay on Rucker’s Good for a Good Time tour. He recently wrapped the second leg of his headlining Think A Little Less tour.
