Jonathan Silverstein has produced and directed several shows for Keen Company, including: Tick, Tick...BOOM!, When It's You, Travels With My Aunt, John & Jen, Middle of the Night, The Film Society, The Old Boy, Marry Me a Little, Lemon Sky, The Dining Room (Drama Desk Award: Outstanding Ensemble), I Never Sang For My Father, Tea and Sympathy, and The Hasty Heart. Other off-Broadway credits include: The Temperamentals (Drama Desk Award: Outstanding Ensemble), Red Herring (FringeNYC; Outstanding Direction award), Blueprint (Summer Play Festival), and The Train Play (Clubbed Thumb). Regional credits include: Buck’s County, Huntington, Old Globe, Cleveland Play House, Merrimack Rep, Dorset Theatre Festival, Cape Rep Theatre.

Silverstein was featured as one of 2009’s Out 100, Out Magazine’s annual list of the most outstanding and inspiring men and women of the year. Jonathan is a graduate of the MFA directing program at UCSD and an alumnus of The Drama League Directors Project.

Keen has been honored with eleven Drama Desk Nominations and two Drama Desk Awards, including a Special Award "for moving and enlightening audiences with plays that build upon our theatrical heritage.” Keen has also received two Drama League Nominations and one Obie Award, as well as an Obie Grant, as well as The American Theater Wing’s National Theater Company Grant. Four of Keen Company's productions have transferred to other theaters in New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, and even Ireland. Boy by Anna Zeigler, which Keen premiered in our 2016-2017 Season, was recently nominated for the Outer Critic's Circle John Gassner Award for new American play.
