Item Description
Get in-depth support on a script you’re developing, with a consultation from Keen Company’s Director of New Work, dramaturge Jeremy Stoller!
The two of you will have an initial conversation about where you’re at with your play, and what your goals are. Then Jeremy will read your draft thoroughly and prepare feedback based on the guidelines you have provided. A detailed discussion will follow (in person or over video chat), delving into whatever aspects you like: plotting, character arcs, timelines, submission assistance, next step suggestions, etc. You do some rewrites, and have one follow-up conversation with Jeremy anytime over the following 6 months on your new draft.
Jeremy Stoller has served as the dramaturg on the world premieres of Ken Urban's Nibbler (The Amoralists/Rattlestick Playwrights Theater), Paper Canoe's Light at Triskelion Arts, as well as Thomas Choinacky and John Jarboe's Beaut and R. Eric Thomas's Will You Accept This Friend Request?, both at First Person Arts Festival; and the US premiere of Urban's Sense of an Ending at 59E59 Theaters. Currently: Director of New Work, Keen Company. Previously: Literary manager @ Two River Theater, 2010-13. Additional dramaturgy/literary work with Crashbox, Disney Theatrical, The Flea, George Street Playhouse, Jewish Plays Project, Luna Stage, Musical Theatre Factory, PlayPenn, terraNOVA Collective, and Working Theater. Founder, The Dramaturgy Open Office Hours Project. Co-founder, Beehive Dramaturgy Studio. He holds a BA from Drew University.
