Get ready to be swept away by Pirates. As the Park Slope Reader puts it, "The Story Pirates won't give you scurvy or make you walk the plank; however, they will challenge your child's imagination and prove that his or her words are powerful tools that are worth celebrating."
Whenever the Pirates take the stage, we are armed with furry monsters, Viking costumes, flying cats, and sacks of treasure for an experience that shows kids the power of writing in a way they'll never forget.
That's right; Everything the Story Pirates perform is based on a story written by a kid, from kung fu ninja babies fighting crime to the eternal love between the devil and some guy she met at Starbucks. Taking our cues from kids themselves, it's a world where money grows on heads and fish rain from the sky. Called "crazy entertaining" by the Daily Show's Jon Stewart, the Story Pirates have been performing at schools and in theaters across the country since 2003.
Item Special Note
Terms: The Flagship Show takes place on select Saturday afternoons in midtown Manhattan. Voucher valid until 12/31/2017. Subject to Availability.
Payment: Your credit card will be automatically billed after the close of the auction and will incur an additional 3.5% fee. By bidding on an item you are agreeing to this fee. In addition, all mailed or shipped items will have fees added on as indicated below.
Shipping: Items will be mailed once we receive confirmation that your credit card has cleared. If you prefer to pick up your item, you will have until Friday, May 26th to notify our office and make arrangements.
Items will be shipped via USPS and billed at the following rates (with insurance added automatically as noted below):
- Small Items: Gift certificates and similar items (letter rate under 1 oz.) will incur an additional $1 shipping and handling charge
- Larger Items & Oversized Items: Only available for pick-up as indicated in item description
Insurance: For items valued over $50, postal insurance will automatically be added to your total at the following rates:
$3 - ($50 -$200 value); $6 - ($200-$400); $9 - ($400-$600)
