Item Description
George Jay is 80 years-old and loves carving. He usually carves caricatures of miners, firemen, cowboys, Santas and a lot of old friends who are just plain "bums". He started carving about 17 years ago. George is a southern boy who spend most of his working life in mining and energy companies. He is married to Barbara Jay and now lives in Cottonwood Heights.
This cowboy carving is made of a solid piece of Bass (also known as Lindon wood).
