This Limited Edition piece features the Karner Blue Butterfly, while on the backside is the Lupine flower, essential to its survival. Because the Karner Blue caterpillars can only eat Lupine flowers, it is the only plant that the Karner Blue can lay its eggs on to reproduce. Unfortunately, the Lupine flower's habitat of dry, sandy soils in open to partially shaded areas has been widely eradicated, making the Lupine plant, and the Karner Blue Butterfly at risk.
Shades of blue, white and graphite are accent colors over a "Serenity Blue" (powder blue with purple tone) background. Complete with Sterling silver findings, Eco-friendly gift wrap and a CMJ Butterfly greeting card, and free 1-3 day shipping (in US) at the close of the auction. Included is a standard 16" chain, can be switched for an 18" length upon request.
Cait Marchetti Jewelry is hand drawn original illustrations on enamel fine jewelry featuring narratives of New England flora and fauna on front and back sides. Typical narratives on back to front sides of the jewelry typically display themes of potential and growth, actions and relationships of the flora and fauna. For example, an organism in an early stage of life such as eggs in a nest on the backside, and the same organism if allowed to flourish and grow such as a hummingbird on the front side. The drawings are hand drawn on both sides of the enamels (glass over metal) and fired in a kiln at 1500 degrees to preserve the drawing in the glass forever. Each piece is finished in sterling silver chains and findings, gift wrapped in Eco-friendly packaging, paired with a complimentary greeting card, and complimentary shipping within the US. Custom (nature) designs including commemorative and bridal jewelry, are my specialty.
