Item Description
Yoga for the Special Child - was developed by Sonia Sumar. It is a safe and gentle method of yoga, which utilizes traditional yogic techniques. We use breathing and eye exercises, singing, deep relaxation, and asanas (yoga poses) customized to your child's needs and abilities.
Though this list is not exhaustive, Yoga for the Special Child benefits children with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, autism, brain damage, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, learning disabilities, microcephaly, as well as children who are developing typically. Yoga is particularly well suited to those with disabilities as it is a gentle and gradual practice that can be adapted for any limitation.

- This item includes five appointments - the initial evaluation, plus four classes (provided over two weeks).
- Appointments must be scheduled when redeeming gift certificate.
- Make-up classes for canceled appointments are at the discretion of the teacher and not guaranteed.
