Title & Artist:  "Cod, Striped Bass, or Rainbow Trout...you decide" – by Elvira Schoenthal

Medium & Size:  Fabric on wood.  21 7/8" L x 8 5/8" H x 3/4" D.  For indoor display only.

Artist Statement:  Whenever I make a new quilt, try a new pattern, and work with fabrics, it combines all the parts of me in one place: My creative part in choosing pattern and color that the recipient will like, my analytical part in figuring out the logical placement of each fabric (I don't do random very well), thinking outside the box and trying new patterns (working on that random thing), and knowing that the person receiving my quilt will have many hours of warm comfort wrapped in it.

Artist Biography:  For almost 25 years, Salem resident Elvira Schoenthal has been making quilts for family, friends, and countless raffles throughout Massachusetts. Her quilts are not works of art, but rather "user friendly" and meant to be used, hugged, cuddled with, snuggled under, tents, picnic blankets, and whatever will bring a smile to the owner's face. Elvira is a self-taught costume designer who has made a name on the North Shore designing shows for middle schools, high schools, and community theaters in the area. Her motto is "Do what you love, love what you do."

Item Special Note

Pick-up of purchased cods will be on Wednesday evening, July 5. Winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.

If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.

Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.

If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
