Item Description
You are bidding on an Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used.
Item Special Note
Elizabeth is a well-know Texas artist who teaches encaustic classes and has her work shown in Texas, California, and the East Coast.
For me, discovery and creative exploration are an essential part of making art. My work is as much about the process of discovery as it is about the articulation of an idea, a feeling or a place. Creating art is an essential part of who I am and my hope is that my work reflects the deep passion and joy I feel when I am painting.
