Ms. Barish is the Deputy General Counsel for Labor and Employment at the Philadelphia Housing Authority. PHA employs 1400 individuals and Ms. Barish provides legal counsel in connection with all labor and employment matters. Prior to joining PHA, she was a partner in a private law firm where she defended public and private employers against employment law claims arising under both federal and state laws in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. She has been a lecturer and author on various employment law topics. Ms. Barish received her J.D. from the Hofstra University School of Law and her B.A. from Brandeis University. She is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Society for Human Resources, Association of Corporate Counsel and serves on the Board of Directors for both the Settlement School of Music in Willow Grove and Career Wardrobe, a non-profit organization in Philadelphia.
