Item Description
Title & Artist: "Neck Run" – by Phyllis Vardo McGinnis
Medium & Size: Acrylic on wood. 21 7/8" L x 8 5/8" H x 3/4" D. For indoor display only.
Artist Statement: What happens in Marblehead when asked "you want to go for a Neck Run?" You can look it up in Urban Dictionary or view here my vision of how that might turn out!
Artist Biography: Local artist Phyllis Vardo McGinnis spends most of her time as a Professor at Boston University Questrom School of Business and raising her teen twins Molly and Jack. But everyone needs a little me time, and Phyllis finds hers by getting lost in the intricate detail of her whimsical paintings on household decor, wooden alphabet blocks, dollhouse furniture, and the occasional Cod. Her themes are typically historical and sometimes fictional, inspired by her love of the sea, the mountains, and the creatures that inhabit them.
Hosting Business: "Neck Run" is on display at Java Sun, 35 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead, MA.
