Item Description

William J. Maloney is a Copley Master at the Copley Society of Boston. He is a Signature Member of the American Artist Professional League, the Oil Painters of America, the American Society of Marine Artists, Cape Cod Art Association, the Creative Arts Center in Chatham, and the Whiskey Painters of America. His landscapes, seascapes and city scenes are all done in an "en plein air" impressionistic style using oil and watercolor. Maloney is the recipient of numerous art awards. He has exhibited in New York at the Salamagundi Club, the Northeast Watercolor Association, the Sea Heritage Museum and the Whistler Museum in Lowell, MA. He exhibits regularly at the Copley Society of Boston, the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis and the Creative Arts Center, Chatham. His work is included in the corporate collections of Raytheon Company, John Hancock Insurance Company, Blue Cross of Boston, among others.

Artist Statement: "I love painting boats "en plein air." This view caught my eye immediately."
