Item Description

This gorgeous dining room table set is from the 1930s and is a solid tropical hardwood, most likely coralwood or teak. It has simple, classic, clean lines with matching chair and table legs. It consists of (2) 36" square (mahjong anyone?) tables that make a 6' table when together and 8 matching chairs. The chairs measure 37" high and 17" square at the seat. Although it is hard to tell from the photos, the wood has a beautiful curl much like koa wood. Originally, this set was most likely bought at Gump's of Honolulu or Grossman Moody's--the only high-end furniture stores in Honolulu at that time. These types of vintage items are difficult to find nowadays and would make a perfect centerpiece in any kama'aina home.

Item Special Note

All antique and vintage products may have flaws and show age and wear and tear, because they are old and previously used and loved. This is part of their character and appeal.
