A set of 4 (2 identical) exquisite mint-condition from the Gardner Porcelain factory, Verbilki, late 19th century. Verbilki Porcelain is among the oldest fine china producers in Russia. The company's long history includes many feats that to this day leave most of the other porcelain manufacturers far behind, having supplied Catherine the Great with four immensely large and exquisite porcelain sets, as well as winning gold and silver medals at several World's Fairs.
These are a rare set from the Persian Market. Each centering a portrait of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, the King of Persia. Diameter 10 1/2". Appraised professionally.
