Item Description

Part of a larger "Luau Dinner" set.

This is a set of a small (3"), medium (3.5") and a large (5") Hawaiian Koa wood bowls. Although they were part of a larger "Luau Dinner" set (see other Hawaiian Koa bowls and coconut cups in this auction) they also have a myriad other uses as separates. These large party sets were popular in the 1930s/1940s. Collect the whole set for your next big party or just bid on one item as a separate.

Koa wood is legendary in Hawaii. Not only is this amazing wood native to Hawaii but it is known for the deep rich colors and varied grain pattern known as "curly Koa".
