Item Description
Part of a larger "Luau Dinner/Poi Supper" set.
This is a set of 11 (4"long & 2" high) unusual Hawaiian luau coconut goblets. They are unusual because of their not-often-seen pear-shape. Although they were part of a larger "Luau Dinner" set (see other Hawaiian Koa bowls and coconut cups in this auction) they also have a myriad other uses as separates, like talk-of-the-town kava cups. These large party sets were popular in the 1930s/1940s and these goblets are not the "cheapie" ones stuck together with glue that tourist traps sell nowadays. Collect the whole "Luau Dinner" set for your next big party or just bid on one item as a separate.
Item Special Note
Proceeds benefit Kona Historical Society, a 501c3 nonprofit. Winning bidder is responsible for shipping and Hawai`i State tax (4.166%). We try our best to ship items as economically as possible. Most are shipped flat rate but larger or unusually shaped items may need to be shipped priority. Winning bidder is also responsible for postal insurance if the item’s value is over $500. As with all auctions, item is sold “as is” with no refunds available.
