Item Description

A native of Chicago, Ed has spent several decades in Rhode Island where he has been able to study works by the multitude of local artists in the greater Providence area. Inspired by the art of Dale Chihuly and the newer work coming out of the Rhode Island School of Design, Ed moved his interest into the medium of blown glass. He has trained extensively with some of New England's finest glass artists producing intricate and beautiful early works of glassware. His studies have continued and expanded internationally where he has learned newer techniques, specializing in bowls, birds nests, decorative floats and fixtures. A more recent trip allowed him to study some amazing work in Iceland that has inspired his current "Sea Lilies" collection which is now in-demand. Ed's work can be seen in many private collections around New England and he is very happy to be able to collaborate with the fine people at the Cape Cod Museum of Art.
