Item Description
Leaves have an intricate structure and natural symmetry - a fragile beauty that is normally hidden and transient, like that of a snowflake, or a spiderweb.
Each leag is hand-treated to reveal its inner lacy design, and arranged in a frame chosen for its quiet elegance and for its enhancement of the leaf's complex natural pattern. Each arrangement will last for years.
About the craftsman: Booker Morey of Palo Alto CA, discovered a process for exposing the fine vein structure in the leaves. It is a relatively new art, an donly practiced since 1993. He is an engineer by training, and now a craftsmand in leaves.
About the leaf lines: The company is developing a series of attractive and functional products based on the etched leaves. The framed arrangements are the flagship product. Other products include coasters and jewelry boxes.
The frame measures 8" x 6" with a 5" x 7" shadow box where the leaves sit.
