Item Description
"Buddhist Stupa" by Alex Burkeev features the Wu Tai Mountains located in the North-East of China. These mountains are considered to be the abode of Manjushri Bodhisattva, an emanation of the wisdom of all Buddhas.
Alex Burkeev was born in Moscow and lived and worked in China until 2017. He now makes Canada his home. He says that "A person is a product of the environment he lives in. This statement is also true for me, as an artist, a painter. Some things influence me more, some less. I am, of course, a Russian, but it would be fair to say that Chinese culture in general and Buddhism, in particular, have had a big influence on me..all of us are products of causes and conditions."
