Item Description
What is Tertill?
Tertill is a solar-powered robot that weeds your garden every day. It’s waterproof, self-charging, and uses sensors to identify weeds from plants. Created by roboticist Joe Jones – the inventor of iRobot Roomba – Franklin Robotics’ Tertill is designed to live in your garden, come rain or shine.
What are the benefit of Tertill?
With Tertill, gardeners can now enjoy weed-free vegetable and flower gardens, without the physical grind and tedium of weeding. Organic gardeners can see the fruits of their labor, while enjoying a chemical-free garden – all season long.
How does it work?
This robot weeds your garden all by itself. It automatically patrols your garden every day and uses sensors to identify weeds and chop them down. It's solar-powered so you don’t have to charge it. Tertill uses its artificial intelligence to determine the best times to sniff out new weeds. The bot regularly eliminates newly sprouted weeds with its string trimmer and scrubs out emerging cotyledons with its wheels. Using its onboard sensors, Tertill knows not to squeeze in where it can’t fit, and not disturb the plants. Tertill only trims weeds under an inch high.
