In a short 7 years, Urban Surf 4 Kids has served over 3500 Foster/Orphan Youth in the following locations: Florida, California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Mexico!

Just a few weeks ago, we proudly hosted our 3rd annual "Surf with a Cop Day" in San Diego. This event has become a powerful bridge between foster youth and law enforcement. Often times for a foster youth the last interaction with a "cop" was the removal from there home. Watch this powerful video from our July 15th event in San Diego. The award winning, historic Prairie Guest House sits on a farm-like setting of two acres in Hamilton County, Indiana. Innkeepers John and Karen Newton are honored to receive the "Hoosier Hospitality Award" from the state of Indiana. Welcome to our spacious inn, which features beautiful gardens, large native Indiana trees, a rustic barn and on premise yoga studio. The mid-1800’s Gothic farmhouse has nine large guest rooms, each with private bath and lovely common areas to relax in. Across the courtyard, the early 1900’s cottage houses the kitchen and dining areas, where you will enjoy a fabulous home-cooked breakfast daily or relax in the cozy sun room, perfect for curling up with a book and our feline innkeeper, Fiona. When you're ready for some activity, join a class in our yoga studio, venture across the street to explore Conner Prairie, head into a neighboring town for a meal and antique shopping or take a walk in a nearby nature preserve. We're located directly north of Indianapolis within thirty to forty minutes to downtown Indianapolis.

What a wonderful mini-getaway for Hoosiers! I went for girls night in February and it was a lovely stay.

I appreciate how they really preserved the historic architecture in both the guest house and the main house where the kitchen is. Breakfast was delicious. It's a set menu and an employee gets your meal started as soon as you sit down. They had it ready pretty quickly.

The rooms were very comfortable and they even accommodated to us wanting to have all six of us girls stay in the same room together by providing a roll-away bed. The bathrooms had been tastefully renovated. If I lived in Fishers, this would be a perfect way to have family stay close by when they visit. It would also be a perfect set up for a bridal party the night before a wedding.
