In a short 7 years, Urban Surf 4 Kids has served over 3500 Foster/Orphan Youth in the following locations: Florida, California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Mexico!
Just a few weeks ago, we proudly hosted our 3rd annual "Surf with a Cop Day" in San Diego. This event has become a powerful bridge between foster youth and law enforcement. Often times for a foster youth the last interaction with a "cop" was the removal from there home. Watch this powerful video from our July 15th event in San Diego. Like resort lodging, the Inn provides a variety of summer and winter facilities, including our nearby full-service health and fitness spa. But unlike larger Catskills resorts, our boutique Inn with just 16 guestrooms, is an informal, casual bed and breakfast-style country retreat that assures guests a relaxing, romantic, private, secluded getaway in a rustic luxury mountain lake environment. Oh Yes! Many of our guestrooms are pet-friendly.
Our on-site activities include miles of hiking trails in the surrounding 2000 acre forest preserve, pool and lake swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, tennis, cross-country skiing, and snow-shoeing. Additional nearby hiking affords spectacular scenes of rivers, and views of the majestic peaks and isolated waterfalls that abound. Located in Sullivan County and in close proximity to Orange County as well as Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, the Inn at Lake Joseph features the best the Catskills have to offer.
Very much like the Berkshires, Adirondacks, and Poconos, the Catskill Mountains surrounding the Inn offer breathtaking views and idyllic natural scenery. However, unlike these other regions, the Inn and the Catskills are no more than 2 hours from New York City.
