Witness the Power of Nature in Reykjavik_, Iceland (Europe) for Six Days & Five Nights at the Apotek Hotel for Two, Including a Whale Watching Tour, Golden Circle and Horseback Riding Tour, South Shore Adventure Tour and the Langjokull Ice Cave Experience (Land Only)

Jump into Reykjavik, Iceland, the world's closest capital to the North Pole, where you'll find a big heart in a small cosmopolitan city, set in one of the most peaceful countries in the world. Reykjavík is home to an impressive collection of interesting attractions and places of historic significance with much to intrigue the curiosity of visitors to the city. You'll fall in love with Iceland's spirit as you embark on four adventures, including whale watching, horseback riding at the Golden Circle, an exploration of the South Shore and an ice cave experience in a glacier!

You'll stay in the Apotel Hotel, an elegant four-star hotel located in central Reykjavik. The historical building formerly housed the pharmacy Reykjavikur Apotek, and is considered to be one of the most remarkable buildings in Reykjavik.

Your whale watching adventure will start at Reykjavik's old harbor, located right in the city center. Witness some of Iceland's rich and thriving birdlife and sealife, including minke and humpback whales, harbor porpoises and white-beaked dolphins.

The Golden Circle tour combines an exciting horseback riding excursion with one of Iceland's most popular tours — The Golden Circle. The day starts by driving to the Eldhestar riding center, located just outside Hverageroi. The Icelandic horse is a unique breed, known for its sturdiness and easy temperament. You will take in some of the local sights on horseback before ending the tour with a light lunch at the Vellir Farm. Continue your journey to the Geysir geothermal area, where the erupting gyser Strokkur is the star of the show. You also visit the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall and _ingvellir National Park, with its amazing geology and history.

A tour of the South Shore is ideal for nature lovers of all kinds. You will drive along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country's most scenic regions. You will stop at the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk behind it and through to the other side and the majestic and much photographed Skogafoss waterfall. Visit the Skogar Folk Museum to get a taste of how Icelanders lived in past centuries. Other highlights include a view of the stunning M_rdalsj¿kull glacier, the black sand coastline and the impressive Reynisdrangar rock formations near Vik.

Then visit a unique and remote man-made cave in the Langj¿kull glacier, one of Iceland's largest and most spectacular glaciers. You begin by driving to the lush Húsafell area with stops at the Deildartunguhver, and the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. After a lunch break in Húsafell, you will head up to Langj¿kull, partly in a specially-modified glacier vehicle. Then enter the magnificent cave close to the top of the glacier.
