Item Description
Purchased by the donor from a Russian market in New York City. Russia is known for its abundance of amber, though the precious material has been used for thousands of years in many parts of the world. Amber was traditionally associated with healing and protection. These earrings are either amber or amber lucite.
Often paired with silver fittings, the cut teardrop shapes of the earring pendants are accented by delicate, vintage shell-shaped studs.
