Item Special Note

DO NOT MISS LISA MCCONNELL'S TEXAS STATE SEAL COLLECTION!

Texan heritage infused with casual elegance links old and new in a unique way.

Dear Lisa,

I do not know you nor you know me! I am a native Tennessean but a planted Texan, I came here in 1973 from Nashville. So, I have lived here longer than anywhere else in my life! Besides, there were more Tennesseans at the Alamo than Texans…if my memory serves me 33 I believe! I met my wife here and my 25 year old daughter is a Texan, born and raised. Tonight is our 26th wedding anniversary and we had dinner down the street from your studio. My wife gave me a gift of your Texas Seal cuff links and I could not be more proud and honored to receive such a gift. I will wear them with much pride! I am very impressed with your work and plan on dropping by to say thank you as this is such a special gift.

Knowing Lisa McConnell’s long-standing reputation in the North Texas business community, THA approached her to design the Hereford Medallion in 2008.  The association was resolute on working with a local jeweler to design and manufacturer the medallion.  Lisa was excited  to take on a modern translation of the Texas Hereford Bull and delivered a stunning portrayal of this iconic image.

There has been a resurgence of interest in the Hereford breed over the last few years. Our supporters are very particular about the aesthetic accuracy of any Hereford representation.  Lisa McConnell has designed an exceptional rendition of the Hereford.  Her attention to detail was carefully translated, making this commemorative piece a one-of-a-kind future heirloom. – Jack Chastain, secretary of the Texas Hereford Association.
