Item Description
Hand-thrown cheese tray by Janice Prescott.
Janice discovered clay 15 years ago while living in New York City. She studied clay-making and took classes at several studios in the city, including Greenwich House Pottery and Chelsea Ceramic Guild.
She is mainly drawn to functional, wheel-thrown work, but she also loves handbuilding. To see formation of clay pieces coming out of the wet clay in her hands is a source of never-ending wonder for her.
After moving to Montgomery three years ago, she established her own home pottery, Wild Clover Studio, in the Cloverdale-Idlewild neighborhood.
