Item Description
Jewelry designer Becky Kelso understands the intrinsic value of creating from the heart, rather than simply following trends. She describes herself as a designer routinely inspired by fashion and pop culture but firmly grounded in the artistry of her craft.
After two years spent living abroad in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico immersing herself in the rich cultural traditions of the country, she began to explore the art of jewelry making. Serving as an apprentice to a local jeweler Billy King in San Miguel de Allende and honing her skills as a silversmith, Kelso debuted her own collection in 1995 in New York City.
With such gracefulness and intimacy found in all of Kelso's delicate creations, it is no wonder that her jewelry is highly sought after by some of Hollywood's more notable icons, including Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz, Sandra Bullock, Jessica Biel, and Naomi Watts. Her designs have graced the covers and features of magazines across the globe, including British Vogue, Italian Elle, Instyle, The New York Times, and Martha Stewart Weddings.
She has designed for Banana Republic and showcased her chandeliers and distinctively crafted rings to luxury retailers; Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Isetan, and Saks Fifth Avenue. She sells to over 100 specialty boutiques, galleries and jewelry stores in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and the UK.
Her jewelry is handcrafted on her farm in Sebastopol, California. She uses environmentally sustainable supplies and only the finest materials to produce inspired and exemplary works of art.
