Item Description
From the organic and biodynamically farmed estate vineyards of Porter-Bass, this block is part of a steep south-facing hill that can only be worked by hand. The last of the 100-year-old vines grow here and represent the enormous history of this land and the family. The ancient vines produce very little fruit, which results in concentrated flavors that are intense and exotic. Half way up the hill runs the path that connected grandma Dot’s house to Luke's family house. Thus, the hill became known as "Dot’s Garden". This wine is only made in vintages that are worthy of the name.
"From outside Guerneville in RRV this is a biodynamic tiny production Zinfandel. This vintage shows a more pure and forward set of fruit versus the 2013. The nose shows ripe blackberry and sweet cherry pie. The palate is balanced by a touch of spice and cedar, but highlights a core of red and black fruit."- D&M Tasting Notes
