About KOIO:

Founded in 2014, KOIO originated from a mission to create a dream shoe, one that would accompany its wearer on any quest and adapt to every situation.  To achieve this, the founders went to Italy, where craftspeople have been perfecting the art of handmade shoes for hundreds of years.  There they toured 34 factories before finding the one that mirrored their vision, in coastal Civitanova.

KOIO developed into shoes that truly fuse the artistry of luxury with the ready-for-anything ethos of modern city life.  They speak to a generation that recognizes the distinction between quality and excess, and that eschews traditional paths in favor of forging their own.

About David Paul Kay:

David Paul Kay is a New York City based contemporary artist & muralist born and raised in former Republic of Georgia, where he witnessed the collapse of Soviet Union and years of civil war.  David spent a pivotal year during high school in the United States, where his experience of the West had a huge impact on his personality, life, and work.  He returned to Georgia where he continued to experiment in various mediums of visual art, until he had to flee the country and ultimately settled in New York City.

With the city around him for inspiration, David began using vibrant lines to transform exteriors and to convert walls, paper, fabric, objects, even people into kinetic surfaces.  Cadillac even commissioned David to travel to Miami for Art Basel, and to paint a brand new Cadillac ATS-V, live, during Pulse Miami Beach art fair.  David has also always been passionate about large-scale art, and painted his first mural on a rooftop of a pre-war building in Midtown Manhattan, a project that instantly went viral. After this, he was commissioned to create murals all over the city, on streets and in and outside of luxury residential buildings, galleries, and social spaces.  He has also participated in several group and solo shows in New York, Paris and Dubai.

David Paul Kay is represented by Galerie-Kontakthof in Paris and Visual Artists Group in Los Angeles, his limited edition prints are available exclusively on TWYLA.
