Item Description

Pen & ink

8.5" x 8.5" x 1.25"

Ann E. Grasso is best known for her architectural designs. However, when creating her personal art through site installations and series work, she is influenced by her life-long interest in patterns of living and desire for social justice. She maintains three different websites focusing on architecture, pattern art, and fine art. In 2017, she was honored with three solos shows.

Textiles tell stories. “Sedimentary Layers” offers a look at how our memories bury under layers of new information and habit. The present and future are less well understood than the past, although our past can become mired in misinterpretation and faulty memory. Drawing textiles provides me with time to ponder these ideas.
