Item Description
Stained glass
16.75" x 12" x 1.5"
Amelia Lydon has been creating in stained glass for almost 30 years. She prefers using art glass in her pieces because the glass itself is so beautiful. The past few years she has been experimenting beyond the traditional stained glass and began incorporating overlays using one of her favorite metals – copper.
Amelia loves Ginkgo trees, the leaves grow in such a unique pattern. The trees also drop all their leaves at once, a sight she would love to be able to witness one day! Amelia made etched copper ginkgo leaves and incorporated them on both sides of this glass piece. It is up to the viewer which side you wish to look at, the leaves on the other side will show thru as shadows when light hits the panel.
