2012 Boekenhoutskloff Cabernet Sauvignon, South Africa: Cedary, with blackberries, plum sauce and hints of tar. Ageable.
2012 Concha Y Toro Entre Cordilleras, Peumo Vineyard, Terrunyo Carmenere, Chile: Woody and round in feel, this soft Carmenère offers char, hickory and blackberry flavors in front of a plump finish.
2013 Bodega El Porvenir De Cafayate Laborum, single vineyard Tannat, Argentina: Red and dark fruits, notes of floral and clove. Very complex, with layer upon layer of flavors.
