Item Description

Explore the trendy Wicker Park neighborhood with $50 giftcards to Piece, The Map Room, Northside Bar & Grill, and Big Star.

Piece unites classic New Haven-style thin crust pizza with award-winning microbrews in a spacious loft setting. Opened in July 2001 after transforming a roofing company garage into a casual pizzeria complete with a skylite ceiling and sunken lounge area. Brewer Jonathan Cutler has won twenty-six major awards since 2002. In 2006, Piece and Jonathan won the prestigious World Beer Cup Champion Small Brewpub and Brewmaster Award.

The Map Room has a wide and great selection of beer.  The creators of Map Room drew their inspiration from a book called The Great Good Place by Ray Oldenburg. It bemoaned the lack of “third” places in America, places where people go for social nourishment, places outside of home and work. They were inspired to make their bar a third place, to create an environment that fostered community. Map Room aims to be a place where people from all walks of life come together, hoist a pint and make friends.

Northside Bar & Grill has been a staple of the Wicker Park neighborhood for decades. Conveniently located between the famous Six Corners intersection and the newly renovated 606 elevated trail, they offer something for everyone. Their massive beer list includes local selections, craft specialties, and recognizable favorites. Northside also offers an impressive menu of high quality American comfort food, a beautiful interior featuring a year-round atrium, and friendly service.

Big Star is a bourbon and beer focused, taco-slinging, late night honky-tonk in the heart of Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Executive Chef Paul Kahan and Chef de Cuisine Julie Warpinski’s menu, inspired by authentic Mexican street food, is complemented by an extensive house-selected single barrel bourbon program. Housed in a defunct 1940’s gas station, the taqueria’s soundtrack of classic country and rock & roll is selected and spun by their own bar staff.
