James H. Draper, holds a BA from the University of RI with a Minor in Film. 145 of his screen-prints and offset rock music posters were hung in the RISD Museum show – "WUNDERGROUND." His poster for the musician, BECK, is held in the collection of the RISD Museum and LensCulture acknowledged his photography in their, Emerging Talent Awards for 2015.
"Les Fleurs du Mal," is an homage to Charles Baudelaire via Robert Mapplethorpe and the artist’s Gothic Romantic sensibility. This is a photograph of Draper’s Hibiscus taken late at night. “We had, dare I say, a relationship,” states Draper. This piece is from a series concerning the sentience of plants; it is a signed and numbered edition on Kodak metallic photo paper.
