Item Description

Acrylic

18" x 24" x 1.5"

William D. Gibson holds a B.A. from Brown University. Upon his retirement from a career in commercial banking, he added the pursuit of painting in acrylics and writing novels to his retirement activities.  He is self-taught and a member of the Taunton Art Association and the Attleboro Arts Museum.

The entire process of achieving the look Gibson wants can sometimes take much longer than he would like due to the time spent with discovery, experimentation and error correction. But it is this process which promotes improvement, if not evolution, in his work. Acrylics are Gibson’s preferred medium. Landscapes of various types are his favorite subjects.
