Charles Lanphear has been drawing and painting for over 50 years. A retired Air Traffic Controller for the past 20 years, he devotes much of his time to expanding a creative spirit and focusing on quality using many different mediums. He has received most of his formal training at Mass College of Art & Design, Massasoit Community College, as well as many area workshops. Focus for the last several years has been themes of music and their makers. Charles’ work has been on exhibit throughout New England, both group and solo.
“Influence” is a mixed media collage. This piece is based on the musical influence that Muddy Waters had on so many great music makers that came after him. There are several layers to this work of art and it is truly one-of-a-kind.
