Art
Item Description
This is an original painting inspired by the Armenian Genocide Centennial. It measures 27" x 13" x 1.5" and is painted on wood. It's a mixed media design with acrylic paint and Armenian calligraphy and words set on a very textured and colorful background.
It has washes of yellows, golds, browns, earth tones, blacks and red. The gold, bronze and black swatches are painted with metallic paints that have a luminescent sheen when seen from different angles.
The wooden "canvas" allows the piece to be hung on its own without a frame because of the 1.5" thickness and also because the edges are painted (as appropriate to the design). See the photo details.
This is a gorgeous, one of a kind piece of art for any space--Armenian or not.
