Tierra Roja Vineyards Premiere Napa Valley 2013 Katherine’s Blend is a rare wine. It was specially crafted for Premiere Napa Valley, an annual Napa Valley wine tasting and barrel auction open only to the wine and hospitality trades. The idea is for Napa’s best winemakers to craft very-limited production wines available exclusively for the auction, and the event has become an annual showcase for the best of Napa Valley winemaking. Winemakers use their most outstanding grapes to craft wines meant to impress each other – and that’s a tall order. As part of their commitment to bringing rare and fine wines to their customers, WineBid each year purchases a cuvee at Premiere Napa Valley which they offer exclusively through their auctions. 

Tierra Roja’s PNV 2013 Katherine’s Blend was made by two women, Linda Neal, owner of Tierra Roja Vineyards, and Katherine DeSante, one of Tierra Roja’s two winemakers. The other winemaker is Katharine’s husband, David DeSante. Wine Advocate has complimented Tierra Roja wines for “silkiness” and “seductive balance.”  For the PNV 2013 Katherine’s Blend Katharine DeSante and Linda Neal made Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. This single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was sustainably produced. Only five cases were made.
