Item Description

Villa Vista Magnifica is a luxurious vacation home in the beautiful area of Playa Potrero, with 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, and one of the best views in the area. The stunningly-designed open-living concept is the perfect vacation villa for relaxing at the Pacific Coast.

Vista Magnifica is just right for a large group or family or for a small romantic getaway. There are multiple living areas and hide-aways throughout the home, so even in a large group, you’ll always find spaces to relax and be at peace as the tropical birds serenade you nearby.

With lots of shaded outdoor spaces, you’ll always find a place to sit and enjoy the stunning ocean and island views as you listen to the relaxing sounds of the surf crashing along the beach below the home. A gorgeous infinity pool with a breath-taking view might end up being the place you love best during your vacation here in Costa Rica.

VM is in Guanacaste Province, which is in the North - West corner of Costa Rica.  It's near the City of Tamarindo, closer to a town called Flamingo, and really close to a little Costa Rican village called Potrero.  You can search GOOGLE MAPS for POTRERO COSTA RICA. Set the mode to SATELLITE so you can see the terrain.  On the map just to the north of Potrero you will see a beach called Playa Prieta.  VM is just to the right on the map from Playa Prieta on one of those roads leading up to the mountain.  You can search for VISTA MAGNIFICA COSTA RICA on Google Earth or Google Maps and see the exact location.  VM is high on a hill overlooking two great beaches, but we are close enough to the beach to hear the constant pounding of the surf and see the white water.  In this part of Costa Rica there are very few road signs, and there are no addresses as we know it. You will be escorted to the house by my property manager at check-in, and the area is very easy to navigate, so don’t worry about getting lost.

The house is two stories, 5 bedrooms (all with ocean view) and 5.5 baths.  Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms.  The larger of the two has two twin beds we keep pushed together and covered with a king size mattress topper, thus this is a king bed.  In some cases people separate the beds into two twin beds.  The other bedroom upstairs has a queen bed. Downstairs we have 3 bedrooms.  One has a queen bed.  The other two have queen beds plus a twin bed.  So in total:
1 King (or 2 twins) upstairs
1 Queen upstairs
1 Queen downstairs
1 Queen and 1 Twin downstairs
1 Queen and 1 Twin downstairs
There are also 2 sofas in the TV room upstairs.

I have a housekeeper and gardner working full time at the house.  Their names are Rosita and Bismark, and they live in an apartment above the garage.  They have worked for me for over 8 years now and are 110% trustworthy.  Everybody LOVES Rosita and Bismark.  They do all of the daily housecleaning, pool cleaning, landscaping, and in addition Rosita is a trained cook and a certified masseuse.  Whenever I stay, I always have Rosita cook breakfast.  She also washes all of our clothes.  She can also grocery shop for you.  I usually have Rosita cook one or two meals for us too.  My wife usually gets a massage on the upper terrace overlooking the surf/beach.  Rosita and Bismark are there to make your trip more about play and less about work. Basically they will do whatever you need them to do and they work for tips...

Item Special Note

Blackout weeks:  Thanksgiving, 2 weeks around the Christmas and New Years Holidays, Easter Week.

PASSPORTS - Everybody in your group needs a valid passport, and it needs to be valid for 6 months or so AFTER your trip is completed.  In other words, don’t take the risk of either the USA or Costa Rica not accepting the passport if it’s about to expire. Otherwise, there are no VISA requirements or any special shots or international travel preparations necessary… just a valid passport.

FLIGHTS: One thing you will ultimately do is book airline flights to Costa Rica.  The correct airport is LIR (Liberia International Airport - officially called Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport).  No need to look at flights until you settle on a specific week.
