Item Description

Limited edition print

36" x 28.5" x 1"

French illustrator and designer Raymond Peynet was born in Paris in 1908. He became, quite literally, a household name in the 1950s and 60s when his pair of 'Lovers' shot to prominence internationally and particularly in France. They appeared in prints, cards, ceramics, tea-trays, key-rings - pretty nearly anything. Peynet designed for Rosenthal between 1955 and 1965 and his pieces are among the most collectable.
