Item Description
How would you like to see over 2 million fishes, some dating back to 1850? You and five friends can have this unique experience by taking the Behind the Scenes Tour of the Fishes Wet Lab at Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History. You will tour the Fishes Wet Laboratory in the Collections Research Center where scientists identify, catalog, preserve, and study fish. You will see fish in bottles, fish in tanks, and fish skeletons from all over the globe - many specimens obtained through recent expeditions. The tour will be given by CGA Board Member Terri Sinnott (CGP '79) and limited to 6 people.
After the Behind the Scenes tour, your group will have access to the Field Museum's general exhibits.
Note: tour must be taken during regular weekday hours when the lab is staffed.
