Item Description
This American country high back rocking chair has its original milk finish. The splint seat and back are in excellent condition.
This chair is built in the Shaker style, which originated with the Shaker religious communities settling in America in the 18th century. The style remains very popular today. Shaker furniture is distinctive; the minimalist, well made designs reflecting the Shaker sect's guiding principles of simplicity, utility and honesty.
The rocking chair is charmingly weathered and perfect for any corner needing a little something extra.
Chair measures 38" tall, 29" front to back, and 17.5" wide
