Item Description

Needle felting

11.5" x 10.5" x 1"

Lyn Slade has been making needle felted art for 15 years. She teaches workshops from her B&B in Bolton, at Worcester Art Museum and throughout the US. She is currently experimenting with combining needle felting with backgrounds that use other mediums, a process that she looks forward to pursuing during her spring 2018 artist residency in Acadia National Park.

“Deep Emotions” was created after a family gathering where each person had their own interpretation of a historical event. It uses thickly textural needle felting, fine flat needle felting, and an over dyed background to illustrate the range of emotions found in one room.
