David Skillicorn, a professional abstract painter for more than twenty years, has exhibited in several solo and juried group exhibitions and his paintings are part of private collections throughout the country. His work can currently be seen at Diana Felber Gallery in West Stockbridge MA and Paul Mahder Gallery in Healdsburg CA.

Melody is defined as a rhythmical succession of single tones producing a distinct musical phrase or idea. “Melody IX” is one painting from a series that are meant as a visual representation of simple pleasing melodies. Using a muted and limited pallet, the artist hopes to create quiet and simple works that catch the eye and convey a sense of calm balance.
