Item Description

Take home a piece of television history two fantastic items!

First, a pristine set of 8 pez dispensers featuring the cast of Star Trek: The Original Series. Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhura, Checkov, Sulu, and the Starship Enterprise itself can be yours! (Pez candy included).

Then enjoy a vintage Star Trek "The Official Fan Club" magazine, published in 1991, the 25th anniversary of the show's creation. This magazine will bring you "up to date" with the goings on of the Star Trek Universe and includes a very special 25th Anniversary clothing patch.

About Star Trek:

Airing from 1966-1969, the Original Series is set in the 23rd century. The starship Enterprise and her crew undertake a 5 year mission to explore the deepest reaches of space... "to boldly go where no man has gone before." Though the episodes are exaggerated and endearingly campy, Star Trek was a groundbreaking series. Not only were the Sci-Fi scenarios and effects exciting and new, but the underlying messages of each story were progressive and pushed the social envelope during the era of Civil Rights. The series only aired for three seasons, but it spawned 6 later series, including a brand new one this year, as well as 13 feature films. Star Trek: The Next Generation is widely regarded as the most popular series, running for 7 seasons and overlapping the 25th Anniversary of show's creation. It continued the themes of social examination and progressive thought.

About Pez:

Pez was invented in Austria, and was originally mint-flavored. The characteristic dispensers first appeared as a sort of cigarette lighter shape, and the Pez mints were marketed as an alternative to smoking. In 1945, the company introduced Pez to the United States, where several years later the iconic Pez heads would be added to market the product to children. Among the first characters for Pez dispensers were Santa Claus and Mickey Mouse, though today over 1500 characters have appeared on offically licensed Pez products.
