Item Description
New York Woman Suffrage Campaign Poster, 1915
This lovely 1915 campaign poster by Ethel McClellan Plummer called on New York men to vote for woman suffrage in the November election. This glossy print is 12" x 24" while the original measured 8 feet tall. The great Empire State Campaign, waged 100 years ago next year, made Votes for Women a prominent cause and, although unsuccessful, paved the way for victory two years later.
This is one of six oversize historic images from the American woman suffrage movement made for the NWHP. It is a real photographic print, not an ink jet or computer print, and is ready to frame.
