Item Description
"The Carrier Connection to Colchester" Dubbed the "Queen of Hell" by Cotton Mather, Martha Carrier was hung as a witch in Salem in 1692, after two of her children, Sarah and Richard, were forced to testify against her--Richard after undergoing torture. Less known is that after the Salem Witch Trials her surviving family members moved to Colchester, Connecticut, for a fresh start.
