Item Description
California's deserts are awash in color, especially during the "super blooms" that occur when there is a perfect and unusual mix of weather patterns. This 20" x 24" print of Desert Canterbury Bells (Phacelia campanularia) and Bigelow's Monkeyflower (Mimulus bigelovi) in Desert Wash were photographed at Joshua Tree National Park in the Mojave Desert during one such event by photographers Rob Badger and Nita Badger - the force behind Envoy's traveling exhibit Beauty and the Beast: California Wildflowers and Climate Change. Printed on 20" x 24" fine art paper, the archival digital print measures 16" x 16" and is ready for framing.
Photographers Rob Badger and Nita Winter are based in the Bay Area and have been been capturing powerful images for over three decades. Their work has been seen in galleries throughout California including the Thoreau Center for Sustainability in San Francisco, the G2 Gallery in Venice, CA, and featured in publications such as American Photo, Los Angeles Times, Natural Home, New York Times, OMNI, Sunset, Sierra Wilderness Society, Time and the Washington Post.
You can see Beauty and the Beast at its next installation in Sacramento at The California Museum beginning on October 31 of this year, before it heads to 5+ other California destinations over the next two years.
